Do you need to see a doctor if you don’t feel any pain after a crash?

Sometimes the answer is yes. If you’re involved in a serious accident with a serious impact, then you probably want to go and get checked out, even if you don’t feel any pain immediately after a crash. If you don’t feel any pain immediately, that doesn’t mean you’re not going to feel pain at some time in the future. A lot of times, my clients say that their peak of their pain may be three to five days after the accident. They may not feel anything immediately at the scene.

Now that said, if you are involved in a minor accident and you feel no pain in the days following, I’m not in any way going to suggest you have to go and get medical treatment for everything. But if you have any worry about it, then you need to follow up and make sure that’s documented, ’cause quite frankly, if you don’t get something medically documented, no one is going to believe that you had an injury in the future. So make sure that that’s taken care of, and if you have any questions, I would contact an attorney – and you can contact me at Banks and Jones, 865-546-2141 or contact us at banksjones.com.
