Before joining Banks & Jones, Donovan Justice’s career path included various disciplines, ranging from high school teacher, voice over artist, and radio show host. Those endeavors all contributed to a unique set of skills and experience that he brought to the practice of law. After a time in solo practice, Donovan joined Banks & Jones with experience in Criminal Defense. He also represents clients in various civil matters, including Breach of Contract, Orders of Protection, and Child Custody.
Donovan graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Law with a focus in Trial Advocacy and Dispute Resolution. As a law student, he was a Mock Trial competitor, helping bring home two National Championship team titles, along with being personally awarded two Best Advocate titles. He was admitted to The Order of Barristers national honorary organization for his work and achievements in legal advocacy. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
Outside of the courtroom, Donovan enjoys the natural beauty of Eastern Tennessee, particularly the Great Smoky Mountains. He can often be found down hidden trails, wading in creeks, or in his hammock strung up between two trees under the open sky. The beauty of the rest of the world calls to him as well, making him an experienced traveler, having lived in or visited more than twenty countries. Also, on many fall Saturdays you can find him in Neyland Stadium cheering on his beloved Tennessee Volunteers.
Inside the courtroom, Donovan Justice is a skilled attorney and fierce advocate for his clients. They quickly find that he is determined to ensure that the opposing side plays by the rules and that their rights and interests are expertly protected.
