Susan “Susie” Haas graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio where she majored in International Studies with a concentration in Economics, Political Science, and German. While working as a legal journalist for Research and Planning Consultants in Austin, she met her husband who was attending the University of Texas at Austin to get his Ph.D in mathematics. She relocated to Knoxville, Tennessee to move to her husband’s hometown and start a family. There, she started attending the University of Tennessee’s College of Law where she focused her studies on contract drafting and tax law, particularly estate planning.
For many years, Ms. Haas had a solo practice while also raising her two children. In 2013, Ms. Haas ventured into the realm of mediation where she received significant training both in Family and Civil Litigation and currently uses these skills by volunteering her time with the Civil Mediation Center and General Sessions Court. Ms. Haas joined the firm of Bank and Jones as ‘of counsel’ in November of 2016.
