How you should behave in court is now something that we are regularly having to tell our clients. Those cellular devices that you have with you? Any type of mobile electronics need to be turned off. You don’t need to be texting in court and you need to be paying attention to the proceedings. You don’t want to be a distraction in any way, shape, manner or form – and just as a matter of course, do not bring your boyfriend, girlfriend or whomever that significant other is to court, and hang all over them like a set of drapes.

You need to be respectful to the entire court proceedings and understand that that judge, albeit it may not be your case is up, is paying attention to what’s going on in his or her courtroom, and you want to make the best impression possible. You do not want to be a distraction. You want to have a successful day in court? Then actually like you came there for business. I am T.
