Should you talk to the police? You know were taught that the police are our friends, and they certainly are. They serve a valuable purpose, but when you’re charged with a crime or you have the potential to be charged with a crime – perhaps you’re a suspect, perhaps you’re a witness, but likely you won’t know which of the two you are – I would strongly recommend that you exercise your 5th amendment constitutional right to remain silent.

After you consult me, T. Scott Jones, relative to any concerns that you have, we can make a conscious, considered decision of what information we want to share with the police. So, under that set of circumstances, it’s much better to air on the side of caution and not talk to the police, and instead insist on the utilization of your constitutional rights that men and women died and shed their blood for.

That being said, I want to be your attorney. T. Scott Jones, Banksand Jones.com, or you reach me at 865-546-2141.
